Advocacy Committee
The objectives of the Advocacy Committee and policy initiatives are to amplify Member’s existing advocacy efforts and assist the KHC in driving current and future areas of focus. Input from the KHC Executive Committee and KHC working Committees, identify opportunities to promote policies that improve the health and wellbeing of Kentuckians, the KHC Member organizations, and the communities they serve. The KHC does not have an independent or freestanding advocacy arm independent of KHC Members or their partners, nor does the KHC pursue independent lobbying efforts independent of the Members and their directives. Under the direction of the Advocacy Committee, KHC staff complete initiative activities including: research, position development, key talking point creation, and other forms of communication.
